Wanting to do an event in Oregon
« on: October 05, 2010,14,36:37 »
Here goes,
So I first heard about WFTW in Offroad Adventures, September or October issue, the magazine that is put out by 4Wheel Parts.  I was so impressed by event that I went looking for one in the Oregon area.  I couldn't find on whatsoever.  I talked it over with a couple of my Soldiers and friends, and I came to a conclusion that I would like to see an event here.  I know a few wounded Soldiers in the Oregon Guard that wheel either on bikes, quads or jeeps.
I quess my question is, is there an even scheduled in close proximity of Brown's Camp in Tillamook National Forest?  And if not, how do I go about getting an event scheduled?
This is my first attempt at contacting anyone to get a WFTW even going here, so I don't know if I am going about this the right way.  If you could, direct my in a good direction so I can see an event started here.

Thanks for your service,
SFC Jory, Robert ORANG

Had a meeting with Jolly Jeepers on 1 Oct.  It went ok.  Need some info from them in order for them to want to do the event.  I felt some hesitation from the 3 people that were on the panel.  Also from a couple of the members.  I am going to try and talk to PNW 4 Wheel association and get them excited about the event.  This even will happen, it's just a matte of when!
