Aug 1st main event
« on: June 19, 2009,16,17:51 »
There has been some minor changes to our main event, but Wheelers For The Wounded will still be going on for Kansas.
Our even will be held at Kansas Rocks Recreation park on Saturday, August 1st.
Gates open 8AM for open trail rides at your own leisure.
Wounded vets/currenty enlisted will receive for free:

park entry for their vehicle or vehicle they are riding in
free lunch at noon sponsored by Chuck Wagon Foods and Brush Beaters
free camping if desired

All funds raised during the WFTW charity events not being used will be donated to the Fort Scott American Legion.
If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me, Donny V, @ liv4jeepn@yahoo.com or 660-200-2052

Glad to here you all are still moving forward Donny.  I'm sure the American Legion will be appreciative and can assist in getting the word out to wounded service members in your state.  I attending an American Legion event last weekend here in Nevada and was really impressed with their organization.  Being a member of the VFW, it was my first experience with the AL and was certainly a good one.
I'm not easily distracted.  I...oh look, ROCKS!

 Just a bump and update:

The Kansas W4TW event is this weekend for those in the Kansas/Missouri/Oklahoma/Arkansas area.  As stated above, all left over funds from the fundraisers as well as any donations made at the event will be given to the local American Legion in Ft. Scott, KS.  For any more information or further discussion you can go to www.brushbeaters.com and go to the forums - Trail Rides section.

For non-vets, current enlisted and so on, the standard park fee of $10 per vehicle is all it costs to get in for the day.

The main event went pretty well, not our largest event by any means, but we also had the local area Chamber of Commerce out as well to bring awareness to the local park and the cuase of Wheelers For The Wounded.

The Brush Beaters will be delivering a check to the local American Legion in Ft. Scott, KS for $1,000 to be used as they see fit for their programs.  We were advised by a member of both the local VFW and American Legion that they were in need of money for their programs more.

Pics are up in the photo gallery on the Brush Beaters website for anyone interested.  www.BrushBeaters.com

You'll have to register first if you are not already registered on the website to get to the photo gallery or forums, but it is FREE to register.
